The Supply Chain Director of Contract Manufacturing in the CBD / Hemp industry will select, grow and manage Socati’s network of contract manufacturers. Products manufactured will include CBD infused gummies, tinctures, stick packs, capsules and more.

Supply Chain Director Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and qualify the CBD contract manufacturing industry in the USA for the purpose of procuring Socati’s group of contract manufacturers for gummies, tinctures, stick packs and all dietary supplements.
  • Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, including meeting production schedules and ensuring that all products meet specifications and quality requirements.
  • Provide effective project management for growth and productivity improvement.
  • Work with the commercial team to identify and qualify co-manufacturers that have capabilities aligned with our current and future needs.
  • Frequent customer interactions, willing and able to help sell customers on our capabilities
  • Occasional Travel

Supply Chain Director Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent education in combination with relevant experience.
  • Finished goods manufacturing experience required
  • Experience in different functional areas of operations and supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
  • Experience with food and supplement manufacturing
  • Excellent project management skills and decision-making skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Teamwork oriented.
  • A willingness to learn plant processes, products and customers.
  • Willingness to work off-hours on tasks unrelated to primary responsibilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Established press and media contacts a plus.

Socati is looking to build its senior level sales team by adding a Business Development Director. In this role you will be responsible for growing new business, managing an account portfolio and overall responsibilities for a significant US region. As Business Development Director, you should be result-driven, a self-starter and an entrepreneurial dealmaker that is just as comfortable picking up the phone to make the first call as you are closing the big deal.

Job Requirements & Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Identify potential customers and set approach strategies.
  • Offer expertise in the Hemp (CBD) landscape, with deep knowledge of wellness & nutraceutical industries.
  • Target existing CBD brands & retailers in addition to innovative food, beverage, nutraceutical, pet food and cosmetics CPG firms.
  • Develop strong and long-term client relationships.
  • Focus on customer success.
  • Represent Socati at industry trade shows & conferences.
  • Act as the liaison between clients and our product development teams.
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements.
  • Get feedback and suggest ways to increase customer engagement.
  • Strong leadership skills dealing with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  • Results and detail oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Contribute to overall strategy and direction of the business unit.
  • Cannabinoids, ingredients, and white label technical sales background a plus
    Experience with CRM and digital sales platforms.

Education & Requirements:

  • Proven work experience and a strong track record in sales & business development.
  • Experience in Nutraceutical, hemp, food, beverages, pet food, or cosmetics industry a plus.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • 5+ years of Sales Experience and managing $1m+ revenue accounts.
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors.
  • Solid experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
  • An ability to understand and analyze sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and team management skills.
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
